OUR LOVE STORY
Austin and Mel's story began in college, where they both found themselves running for election to the executive board of a business organization at Michigan State University in 2017. It started as a simple friendship. But over time, something began to shift...
They spent hours talking about everything and nothing—their dreams, their fears, and how the Lions could never win a Superbowl. There were no dramatic turning points, no grand gestures at first—just small moments that, in hindsight, meant everything. It was on New Year's day, just a couple months later, they stepped out into the world as a couple. It was in September 2024 that Austin surprised Mel with a getaway to Napa, California and a stunning proposal.
Today, they reside in Tempe, Arizona after almost 8 years of dating in a beautiful home with their fur child, Meech. The couple looks forward to coming back home to welcome you all to their wedding.

That said, if you'd like to contribute to our next adventure, we’ve set up a honeymoon fund in place of a traditional registry. The destination is still TBD, but we’re dreaming of somewhere beautiful to celebrate this new chapter together.
